John's Spinning outro would make the others realise that these hands created No Quarter, particularly the live versions where Jonesy sat to the piano to improvise while Page and Bonham were having their prescription backstage...
Just picked up their album from my local library shearly out of curiosity because of the cool artwork. Told my friend that they sound alot like QotSA. Then I found out why. Then I found out the drummer was Dave Ghrol. Idk why it took a random CD pick at a library to be lucky enough to know about this band.
Still come back to listen to this a few times a year. What a great performance. I like how all the band are looking at john paul jones in awe at the end when john is improvising on the keys like the rock god he is. Love Dave grohls drumming on this track too....💥💥💥
Few artistic endeavors are monuments of creativity, deceptively placed skill, the obtuse, the intentionally tongue and cheek absurd and simultaneously apathy, the ethereal. This Monument is….
What a joy that these fuckin legends made their friends/fans/followers this beast of an album. I love that they went all out on it and made something so fast & technical
i wish!!! but i really dont think so.. word is Grohl cant hack the songs anymore.. :( at least they could throw a repackage as the album deserves a remix imho (more and clearer JPJ in the mix), an oficial clear live recording (this BBC session is by far the best sounding live gig by TCV but lacks the raw emotion of the other ones with an actual audience) maybe a BTS of the actual recording AAAAAND OUTAKES (i always wonder if Highway 1 is the tip of the iceberg)
I was lucky enough ta tour with Queens. I was on RHCP and they were the opener. Whoops!!! Big mistake! TCV is a whole other ballgame!!
8:27 lol dave really puts a lot of energy into his drumming.
FOO FIGHTERS QUEEN OF THE STONE AGE LED ZEPPELIN SUPER GRUP THEM CROOKED VULTURES
I bet dave grohl makes great scrambled eggs
Insane jam on daffodils.... 🤘🏻
Would love a second album from these guys

In 6 weeks playing together, and can create this intense environment into the studio? Damn! <3
Is this band over because there was a lot of ego involved?
You can tell how mesmerized Josh and Dave are by JPJ. Just appreciating every moment they share with a timeless musician
Hard to believe it was over 10 yrs ago...
Album still hits, this much later.
JPJ's 8 - string bass is crazy. Imagine the tension that neck has to resist. Thick boi.
0:37 New Fang 5:14 Dead End Friends 9:51 Mind Eraser, No Chaser 13:43 Fresh Pot/Spinning In Daffodils
Fresh pots!
Do you like the guitar Josh Homme is playing?? I own it 😋. I’m quite literally just here to brag. (It’s a Maton BB1200JH for you guitar enthusiasts)
Do tell the story please!
Is that Will Ferral on drums?
9:45 Still can’t get over the sacrilege that Zane spews here. As though Zep wouldn’t be deserving of a plaque!??! C’mon, dude! 🤬
Please for the love of God. Make another ALBUM!!
Охуенно честно
All 4 of these Gentlemen are underratet because they don't set themselves in public like every "rapper or hiphop guy or girlie".
How lucky are they. JPJ
thanks
Best band of all time
Let's get in another one, from everyone thank you
Gunman just might be the best song, top to bottom, played live, that I’ve ever heard. If it doesn’t get u up, you might be dead
ua-cam.com/video/KcbWfgEoQdo/v-deo.html. This should be watched Anyone who plays or is a fan.
The bass player is nasty. Guy has a future in music, whoever he is.
Who the 'FOO" is that drummer!?!?!

Should be top comment. Thank you brother/sister!
Last super fucking band!
Seeing led Zeppelin still rockin'... Man, that's precious! Dead end friends rocks as a song!!! Thank you Dave Grohl!
imagine if this band had a likable front figure.
Their drummer is pretty good but he seems like more of a grunge drummer if you ask me. Like Seattle scene kinda band. 90s ya know?
Thinking the same 😆
The second song brought flashbacks to being 9 playing skate 3 till I hit 1 million boards😂😂
we tried to get our album to sound the same.. ua-cam.com/video/KKKZNMJNnh8/v-deo.html

OMF'NG!! I'm in total awe!!!

Ironically Alain is the John Paul Jones of this band.
Well, its 2021 now. Will 2022 be finally time for the second Crooked Vultures album please!!!?

Here in 2021 just to say this is the most underrated rock band ever and probably the best one in the 2000’s
Absolutely incredible, sure I had a tear watching JPJ playing keys at the end
That big stop and chord change at 19:02 Fuuuuuu 🤯
*the band which saved 2010 decade music*
my nerve endings are twanking
